Choosing the anchor text

The anchor text is the clickable text of the link that points to your target page. A natural mix across your placements keeps the profile safe: mostly branded and partial-match anchors, an exact-match anchor only where the page really answers that search.

• Branded: your company name.
• Naked URL: the address itself.
• Partial match: part of the keyword plus other words, for example "villa renovation specialists in Dubai".
• Exact match: the keyword itself, used sparingly.
• Empty field: the SEO Plus editor chooses a natural anchor from the article context.
