Google AI Overviews in the UAE: How to Get Cited
Google AI Overviews now sit on top of many commercial searches in the UAE, and they name brands. In July 2026 we ran typical Dubai buying searches with UAE location settings and recorded which companies the Overviews cited. This guide shares what we saw and the work that earns a place there, as part of AI SEO services.
What AI Overviews already show for UAE searches
For best interior design studio for luxury villas in Dubai, the Overview named Antonovich Group next to Algedra and XBD Collective. For top luxury interior designer questions it described the same brand and its turnkey villa work. On the furniture side, luxury italian furniture in Dubai and best luxury furniture stores in Dubai both surfaced Solomia Home with its Dubai Mall location.
One pattern was hard to miss: the brands named in Overviews also held top organic positions for the same searches. Antonovich Group ranked first for best interior design company in Dubai in the same UAE results where Overviews cited it. AI Overviews are not a separate universe; they are built on top of the ranking you already earn.

- Citations pointed at pages a model can read cleanly: lists, category pages, plain descriptions.
How to earn a citation
There is no submission form. The path runs through the same fundamentals, sharpened for machine reading.
- Hold strong organic positions for the target search, on a technical SEO base Google can crawl fast.
- State the facts you want quoted in single plain sentences near the top of the page.
- Match the page to the question type: list pages for best-of searches, category pages for buying searches.
- Keep third-party confirmations fresh, so the Overview has more than your word to go on.
Check it for your own market
The test is cheap. Search your ten most commercial queries from a UAE location, record which brands the Overviews name, and compare that with the organic top three. If competitors are cited and you are not, the gap list above is where to start. We run this baseline at the start of every engagement and re-check it monthly.

Yes. In our July 2026 checks with UAE location settings, Overviews appeared on most of the commercial interior design and furniture searches we tested, and they named specific companies.
Does ranking first mean the Overview will cite you?
Not automatically, but the correlation is strong. In our tests the cited brands also held top organic spots for the same searches; we did not see a UAE citation come from deep in the results.
Can a site opt out of AI Overviews?
You can restrict snippets with nosnippet rules, which usually removes you from Overviews as well. For most commercial sites that trades away visibility rather than protecting anything.
